An importer with a handwriting of its own — assembled and checked in Heerde
We draw our models ourselves, have them built to our drawings and import them into Europe. In our own workshop in Heerde they are assembled, set up and checked before they go out. The same people service them afterwards. We are not a manufacturer with a plant of our own, and we do not say we are.

The UK rules, in short
It is not the name of the machine that decides, it is the class. Three cases, and one of them is yours.
Class 2 — 4 mph, pavement
Incapable of exceeding 4 mph. No licence, no DVLA registration, no minimum age. Pavements, pedestrian areas and separated cycle tracks; the road only to cross, or where there is no pavement.

Class 3 — 8 mph, the road
Incapable of exceeding 8 mph, one seat, no wider than 0.85 m, no more than 150 kg unladen. Must be registered with the DVLA, no vehicle tax to pay, minimum age 14, and 4 mph on a pavement with the limiter engaged.

Above 8 mph — not a mobility scooter
Over 8 mph, wider than 0.85 m or over 150 kg and GOV.UK says it is not in a class at all: the road only, DVLA registration, a driving licence, and insurance once the total weight passes 254 kg.

Every model can be supplied limited to 8 mph. Where the model can also meet the other class 3 limits we say so in writing before you buy. The faster version is for private land only.
